Car is absolutely HAULING at 3400 lb, bud. Congrats! Keep working on the 60'; you've got the MPH for 9's with a 1.33-1.34. Also, your half track MPH is definitely down; what are you shifting at? 7700'ish?

Thanks guys, my shift light is set at 7700
So I figure I'm probably shifting around 78-7900. And with this tune we have the rev limiter set at 7950 to keep the cam timing from reseting on up shifts. And on that pass I was actually on the limiter about 50-100' from the traps.

How much better do you think this car can 60' at my weight and power level? I haven't had a lot of time to play with launch rpm, but I've had my best luck with leaving at 6500 when the track is working

I think, assuming the track is on kill...and you get the front K/Arms in...a 1.35 - 1.37 isn't out of the question....but I would put a realistic target of 1.38~ in your sights right now.

I am not sure what JPC was at for raceweight, but here is a similar combo to yours in power and suspension. 1.33 and a 1.36 in these vids.

Of course, the badass trans in their car is helping as well.

nice run! I slowed down the launch (helps me see what's happening). Would you consider putting a white stripe on your tire? Helps monitor spin, not that it looks like you get much spin...

Thank you for the slow motion vid, like Kelly said it looks like the front end could use a little more compression dampening.

And that coyote stock JPC car is plain NASTY! It has me by 3 tenths in the 330, I must be lacking on the 1-2 shift

31 mph on the back end from a NA car is now considered down? Learn something new everyday.

definitely slipping in the slow mo vid. if you start/stop from 5sec-9 sec you can see the car is moving forward, but that rear wheel spoke is not. its either tire spinning on rim, or that side isnt moving at all (unlikely).

I think it's just a trick of the video when it's slowed down (and it's too hard to see in the normal speed vid).

If you download normal speed vid and watch it in QuickTime you can go frame by frame everything looks normal (look for the spoke with WELD written on it). Put a stripe on the tire with window marker to help watch for spin...

Efficient cars don't back half 31 MPH at this power/weight. I was referring to his eighth MPH being down which tells us why he's running 6.70's to the 1/8th and the top end charge bringing it down to the 40's in the 1/4. JPC's car went 108 to the 1/8th yet only 133 MPH with a 1.33 60' in the mid 9.90's. My car goes 107 with a mid 134 on the big end with only a 1.38. If you get to half track efficiently, it should only backhalf 26-28 MPH. Learn something new everyday

It's hard to compare Sean's time against a JPC car... They've been known to gear cars for 1000', which scrubs off MPH on the big end & picks up ET...

It depends on the FPS the video was recorded in. You can see front wheel spinning as it should, but ill try it in QT too
