Want to paint ugly alternator....ideas please.

I too hand painted mine silver (Rustoleum) with a small artist's brush from the hardware store. Sanded it down first to clean it up and it took about 2 hours max. Turned out real nice. Best use of my own time on the car so far. Silver is pretty neutral and will match just about anything.

Hey Jamin - I just painted mine this winter. I think it looks much better and I had all winter to accomplish it. If you haven't already done it, I'd say go for it. It's not hard on my 95, but I do not know how easily accesible it is on yours. Gimme a shout if you wanna meet up.

ju0155, you just spray painted the entire alternator? Or did yask it off?

I've been trying to figure out what color to do the alt.
I've been going between a semi-flat black and a semi flat silver.
How about Lavender?

while I had it off one day I just starting spraying it down. has been that way for almost 2 years.
