Not enough material to remove for the Eliptical. The VMP adapter moves the throttle body all the way to the right instead of putting it in the center.

Thanks for the feedback. So, the Idea is to gain the most HP without exceeding 18 PSI as I am on 93 octane. Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, I'd imagine there would be a greater gain in HP and possible torque on the Gen 3 vs the Gen 2r @ 17-18 PSI.

To put numbers on it, I went from 662 on gen2r to 680 on gen3. All else the same and on same boost. Not worth it IMO unless you are going to go big and swap out internals and switch to e85.

Interesting. What throttle body and pulley combo for both?

Thanks @Klaus

Interesting that you only picked up 18. Their gt500 video they picked up almost 40, guess thats why they say a dyno is only a tuning tool.

You are correct that I think the big advantage is when you go to E85 and race gas where you dont need a lower pulley to get near 800 like you do on a 2.3

Are you sure? A 2.6 on the 2650 should give you a couple more lbs. of boost over the other combo. I believe a 2.8 is recommended for pump gas.

My mistake. I think you are right. I ordered both but put the larger on. 17lbs on both.

In the YouTube video they are running the vaporware 170. You probably would pick up more with larger TB. Although the same could be said of the gen2 so I think it is kind of sleight of hand on VMPs part.

Ok thats right in line with their vmp twin 67 pulls. They picked up another 25 by going from the 67 to the mono. Which I think you would pick up close to that on the 2r as well.

The low end pump gas side I don't think there is a huge difference.

Also, dont they run 2.6 pulley in the video? Not sure that you can run that on pump gas.

Yeah the video pump gas 14.5-15* timing. I am curious to know how much their stock manifolds and cats are killing power.

67 TB :
3.0 661
2.8 684
2.6 696

160 mono:
3.0 689
2.8 712
2.6 721

2r made 659 I think with the 67 tb

I made 1 adapter for the Whipple Elliptical & wasn’t a big fan of how the blade fit the blower opening. I recommend selling your Elliptical & get the KB 168.
