VMP Custom Tune

I am working on ordering a SCT and custom tune from VMP. I plan to call them tomorrow, but does anyone know if I am going to be able to turn my rear o2s off with the x4 SCT. According to their site they do not turn them off. Thanks for any info.

No, the SCT on its own does not have an option to disable the rear O2 sensors. A tuner has to write the tune and turn off the emissions via programming.

Your best bet is to purchase MIL eliminators.

If VMP doesn't locked out your user adjustable options you can absolutely turn off your rear 02 sensors on your own as SCT has almost always had that option going back to the X3s

I have watched several VMP 'tuning Tuesdays' They will not defeat any emissions related device through their Tune.

I own an X4. It has never had the option.

My X4 that I bought nearly 4 or so years ago had the option to delete rear O2's and EGR. It would not surprise me if any of the newer units that have not been sitting on the shelf no longer have the option or possibly once you update firmware on an older model you will no longer have the option.

Interestingly enough you cannot adjust it yourself on the GT500 however you can on a GT. Interesting
