In the not too far future the east coast will be like the left coast. Probably not in my lifetime, but it is coming.
Stripping away American rights is a sure way to experience rebellion and eventually violence. History shows this over and over again.
Even if the Democrats sincerely believe they are doing what is best, they are blind to history, truth, and reality. People do not like to be controlled. Socialism, trampling on the rights of others, and a lack of respect for the people does not come without consequences.
Did banning bumpstocks remove them from existence? Certainly not. There are stocks sitting in gun safes around the Country. They are worthless in my opinion, but people still own them. They are a novelty.
Silencers actually serve a purpose. They do not suppress noise to a whisper. A silencer on a 22lr can still be heard, and if the round breaks the sound barrier the report is heard as the bullet travels through the air. A silencer reduces or suppresses the level of sound, but only by a fraction. That level depends on a lot of factors. A silencer is nothing more than a simple muffler.
So why own a silencer? The volume of a firearm is reduced, and hearing is protected to some degree in a defensive situation. They also keep noise levels down during training, plinking, and competition.
If silencers are banned altogether homemade versions will be made. Just think of prohibition, alcohol was produced, and liquor was consumed. A silencer is easier to make than alcohol is.
I'm tired of hearing people use the term "common sense" in reference to guns. The restrictions wanted are ignorance, not common sense. These people only know what they are told, and what they are on TV.

Most VIRGINIA gun owners I know will return the bullets, before returning the guns.
