As agreed, the boot that came with the car is just plain junk.
I asked the dealer to install it in front of me and if it looked OK I would not complain.
If it still looked like crap they would order a new one.
They tried for 10 min and it still looked like it was made for a another car.
They provided me free of charge, the full toneau cover made for a mustang, as a courtesy gesture.
I put it on last night and its a great improvement.
I will post pics. when I get a chance.

hey good 4 u that they gave you a tonneau -

i agree, this boot does not fit very well. it is easy to stow in the back seat if you want and to remove, but it uses alot of trunk space and in my opinion is dangerous at speed. those buttons are not very secure and it has already flown off on me on the highway.

i am coming from a '96 vert, and i would prefer that style anyday.

I agree the boot is crap. I don't even try to use it anymore. Mine won't latch behind the rear seat, therefore wind can get under there at speed.

:coolman: Look for "tonneau cover fix" under Search. There are photos posted in a separate post below the first. I have zero problems with the boot at any speed since this fix.
