2004 V6/5 speed, my daughter has owned it since it was new. 100% stock until this weekend.

Pypes x-pipe
OEM 2001 GT cat back
OEM 2001 F&R sway bars
OEM 17x8 bullets 245/45/17
stock springs - 1 coil, front and rear
Fox struts / Mach 1 shocks
1" spacer on front / 1.5" spacer on rear
GT rear bumper

I gave her the wheels and tires, everything else we got for $500.

The spring isolators are in the fronts, the rear doesnt have any. We are going to put the rears in to get rid of the squeak and raise it up a bit.

I bought two sets of hubcentric spacers off ebay, $30 and $37 shipped.

Ive used ebay spacers 4 times and have never had a problem. I check seller feedback and make sure they are hubcentric and installed properly.

This go around we went cheap. My daughters Mustang doesnt get driven much anymore and since it is a 165k 3.8, it has very little cash value left. Not worth pouring any money into, other than maintenance.

To be 100% honest, it drives great, sounds great, looks great, and handles 100x better than stock.

After about 100 miles:

Many report x-pipes are raspy. We have a stock GT exhaust hooked to a Pypes x-pipe. It has a pleasent low tone until you hit the gas, then the sound is pretty close to a V8, much better sounding than the 3.7 V6. Also installed a GT rear bumper. Highway speed, slight exhaust sound, can listen to the stereo or have a conversation without yelling.

We cut all four springs 1 coil. The isolators are in the front but not the rear. We are going to put polys in the rear to knock out the squeak and put a slight rake back in. We installed new Fox struts and a used set of Mach 1 Tokico shocks, added the GT sway bars. The ride firmed up a bit, but isnt anywhere as harsh as B or C springs. we have 2-3 fingers between the tire and fender. The 1 in and 1.5in spacers fit perfect with 17x8 245/45/17s.

Anyone looking for a 1-1.5in drop on a DD, I recommend trying the cut springs before you spend $250+.

Overall we spent less than $600 and Im very pleased with the results.
