Thinking of up grading to gt 40 pumps besides the fpmd upgrade is there anything else I need to do or will it hook up to factory fuel hat.

You have to do some rewiring, but it will work.

For dual GT pumps, I'd recommend adding a Fore fuel hat and a dual FPDM setup...:beer:

I agree with FlsSeaDude.

When upgrading to the GT pumps it is important to upgrade the wiring going to them. The only good way of doing that without having it leak over time is the Fore Hat. Some try to use the stock hat with sealer, but it will eventually leak over time and you will be spending more money anyway.

It has the larger wiring and is made specifically for the GT pumps. Also, a stock hat has a small outlet port for the fuel. The Fore Hat has a -8 outlet for the added flow.
