I didnt realize the remanned engines didn't come with a pilot bearing installed, so i drove around without one on my stock clutch for around 1,000 miles. Thank fully the new clutch setup has not seen such a stupid mistake lol. Ordered one at the local dealer, will install tomorrow. That explains the vibration i was feeling lately haha

Silly question. How the hell did you get the alignment tool to stay in place in your pic without the pilot bearing to locate it?? lol

Very good question

I dont think theres any way that severe damage could have been done to the T56 from having no pilot bearing on the stock clutch? I mean the bell housing/transmission being bolted in place would hold the input shaft totally straight i assume? As far as the stock clutch and flywheel.. they are probably toast but it doesnt matter since im not re using either.

The input shaft is centered and located by the pilot bearing, I would assume that without one you would experience a vibration of some sort and premature input shaft bearing wear.
