tune questions

01 cobra. I have added bbk cai and bbk off road x pipe. Do I have to have a tune to run these. Also I have a tuner and a tune gave to me with it and my tuner is disabled and only will give me the tune that was put on it by the dyno shop I bought it from. Is that normal or should I be able to work on the tunes that normally come with the tuner ?

Sounds like the tuner is locked (wasn't brought back to stock by the previous owner) FYI your not gonna pick up much power with those mods anyway.

Tuner was bought new with a generic tune from dyno shop so I'm guess its locked by them

If you bought the tuner from a shop then they probably erased all the other tunes from SCT. Which isn't uncommon. No you don't need a tune to run those mods. I ran a JLT and catted X with no issues. I had it checked on the dyno and the A/F was actually pretty good.
