Save the pinch welds!

Gave it a try to see if they would work for the GT350. The rear position is perfect while the front position is not ideal (a bit rearward) yet it functions and lifts just fine. These are a must for those that track their car. And very handy for maintenance as well.

You can get them here:

Great write up bud! Having sold hundreds and hundreds of these at www.revanracing.com I was in hopes that they would also work for the GT350 and they obviously do!

Very versatile jacking insert that works on numerous years of our beloved Mustang!

Thanks again for the review.

RevanRacing sells those too but personally I would not want to add the weight or lose the ground clearance as they do sit slightly lower than the pinch welds. If it was a dedicated track car then I would agree jacking rails are the way to go.

A couple of nice things about the rails is the ability to use 2 post lifts without adapters and the ease of use of jack stands. As far as the ground clearance is concerned, if you hit something with the rails, chances are you would have done the same thing to the pinch weld area, in which case the rails just saved your car from damage.
For me the jack stands and not having to get down on my belly to find the jack points is worth the price. I just wish they had a version that worked on the S197 cars.

You put them on top of your jack, raise the jack and engage the pinch weld, and proceed to lift the vehicle. When you lower the jack the puck lowers as well and does not stay attached. If it does, just grab it and pull it off.
