Hey guys I am about to take my 14 to the track the only option on this car is the 373 gears and it has the 18" wheels. I have heard some complaints of people having to shift into 5th gear... this is definitely something I do not want to do. Was hoping I could run 4th out and end with a trap speed of 110. Let me know thanks!

4th stock 373 will get you 112, tuned with higher rev limit 115....remember your speed is calculated over the last 66 feet so stay in it till your sure your passed the timer.

you will most likely hit the limiter early.. I had to go into 5th stock, and with A tune I was able to keep it in 4th, boss manifold and 28" tire keeps me in 4th crossing in the mid 120's when I spray I will have to I am sure go into 5th based on the gear, tire height and mph not a biggie but I have a set of 3.31 I may use if 5th is a bitch to hit

Where you have your revlimiter set will be the factor......

I recently did some logs for Shaun and with my OEM 27.6" tires I run (on GPS) 126mph at 7,500rpm in 4th gear.

Sorry, can't help if you have stock tune.

I dont know HOW MANY times I see in videos where people let off right at the stripe. I say this all the time to my firends that you must say in it well past the stripe to ensure you are getting all the mph you can. Letting off right at the line is a no-no.

Track elevation can play a role in this also. I ran my Brembo GT last year and never came close to shifting into 5th. Track (Milan Mi.) elevation was 593'

I was able to get a best of 110 mph staying in 4th. I have 3.73s and 18s (stock base GT wheels)

With the brembo wheels at 27.1" and 3.73's bone stock I hit the limiter at top of 4th and I couldn't trap above 110.8 cuz I didn't wanna shift into 5th
