Houston Astros FTW!
I just ordered my heat extractors from Trackspec, they look top quality and I like the styling. I was able to get 10% off with "MD10" code- which helps with tax and shipping.

Very nice, i love mine. I went with the big vents too. A little nerve wracking cutting up a perfectly good '03 Cobra hood but turned out killer (IMO).

You know it's actually not effective at all. My temps have remained the same believe it or not. With that said I could go either way, by that I mean a stock hood or my current. It's already done and it blends. And my wife and son say they like the black vents way more but i wonder if thats some tactic to NOT get a stock hood again lol

Without a wicker of some kind at the front to create a low pressure area I wouldn't expect them to do much anyway.

Go look up race louvers on YouTube and you'll see exactly what I am talking about. They actually wind tunnel test their vents and compare them to others with basic designs such as track spec and carter's.

If you're not pushing your car hard you probably wont see a difference, this just means that hood venting isn't the weak link in your cooling equation. If you were open tracking your car and repeatedly commanding WOT up to 6K or 7K+RPM for 20 min sessions you'd probably see a difference. While the Trakspecs are helpful, as mentioned above Race Louvers are more effective, just not very pretty IMO.

When I do a track event with my Cobra I switch my hood with a 01 cobra hood or a v-6 hood and installed a trac spec vent. Here is a link to a video I made a year ago or so.

I've had my eye on a pair of these for a while now. I much prefer the look of them over the LFP vents. Thanks for the code, saves $66. Probably going to order a pair tonight after work (y)
