Been looking hardcore at Tork Tech kits and Coyotes. Reason being, a friend and I are swapping cars. My 65 project for his clean 00 GT. So I'm trying to make plans to wake the 2v car up.
Tork tech kit wise, I have a set of deka 60's and a bunch of left over Terminator parts from a friends multitude of Termi builds. Also, we are taking his steig 5 off (complete) his termi vert, and I was told it's mine if I want it for the GT. So at this point, it's the TT kit, brackets, cables, HE, and WP plus fuel pumps and a tune. Should net 4-425 or so on 10lbs
Or, coyote swap. This is obviously much more expensive. Roughly 2-3 time the cost of doing a Tork Tech 2v, and roughly 3 times the amount of work. Both net mid 400s. Ceiling is definitely higher on the Yote' but I also like the eaton whine.
I'm leaning towards Tork Tech simply because I can do it in the garage largely by myself in a week. Rather than dismantling a perfectly good car and doing a Coyote swap. Also, coyote swaps are becoming prolific like LS swaps. The 2v has plenty of potential and parts are cheaper than 4v's.
