I took my bolt on zr1 to the track last night. I was fighting my stock clutch all night but even given that the car still did great IMO!

Mods:

-Aftermarket airfilter inside stock cold air box
-Ported throttle body
-Ported snout
-Ported blower
-Pulley (13lbs vs 9lbs stock)
-Injectors
-Headers
-Tuned on e85

Car makes roughly 660/660 to the tire. I had a full tank of gas and was on my 19" NT05R's. My first two passes I got into it really easy and went back to back 10.90's@137mph (2.0 60'). I could not believe it was running these times without me pushing it at all. As the night went on I tried a few different things (shout out to Jeremy Formato my builder/tuner for track support, and shout out to Will Dugas for texting back and fourth all night helping me out with advice on my clutch/launch/ect). After letting it cool for 45 mins I got back in line and busted out a 10.68@139mph (1.9 60') then hot lapped it and went 10.58@139mph. Clutch issues were getting bad at this point but I kept letting it cool then playing with it more with the launch and slipping it. Ended up going two passes in the 10.40's and also got into the 6's in the 1/8th for the first time. Overall the night was awesome, other than my clutch fighting me the whole time I had a blast and am very happy for my first time out with the car, and to be trapping 137-139 all night. I think if I can get the clutch to hold on the launch I can do a 10.20-10.30 the way it sits right now then it will be time for more power and a clutch! I want to get this thing in the 9's!

How is NHRA and tech dealing with these hyper fast cars from the factory? I heard they let you go to a 9.99 with just a helmet and a jacket, is that true? Do you need any other safety gear? Congrats!

Obviously the track times are speaking for themselves, but I would have expected a little more on the dyno. That's an awesome mod list. Car probably pulls like a freight train. Congrats

Very nice! Congrats!

Your best time slip is almost identical to mine on the R888s. I'm about to get DRs and try to improve.

sick, you need to go ahead and get all the wheels black, nice vette car moves out, with that trap speed a better launch you will get a better time for sure, I think even better then 10.3-10.2. I have seen a buddy go 10.1 in his H/C/I Z @ 136 so your there.

That is awesome!

Congrats!

I love to see the 19's on for track runs!!!!!!

Thanks man!

It's a Vette, I hope u can get it to a real track soon and have fun the way it was intended

No thanks, I'll keep drag racing and doing what I want to do with my car. :)

Absolutely badass...I'd love to see a video of this thing getting it on.

Thanks! A couple of buddies took some video but I havent seen it yet.

Good work pulling some respectable times out of it. Car is moving.

Thanks!

Very nice! There's more left in it for sure with a better 60'. Gotta love how fast these cars can be with minimal mods.

Yeah I agree, if I can just get the clutch to hold I'm sure I could get a 1.6 60' MAYBE a high 1.5X 60'.

Great numbers! Your car definitely hauls the mail!

Thank you!

I know the crew at my local track BMP they are pretty cool, I'm not sure what they will say if I can eventually get my car in the 9's.

Thanks, yeah I don't get too caught up in the dyno #'s like you said I am all about how she runs on the track.

Good numbers there for sure.

Funny you say that my fronts arrived today, just have to now powder coat them gloss black to match the rears and I'll be set. I am keeping my silver set so I can have the two sets to switch up. Also I agree on the ET's it just all depends on my clutch I may have to upgrade much sooner given all the trouble it's already giving me!

Awesome man! Formato tuned my ls3 vette which just got into the 10's cam only. Formato knows what he is doing. I'm jealous of that trap speed lol

The et is impressive but almost 140 with a slipping clutch is what I would be more excited about. Congrats, beautiful car!
