Wow! Super track times. Just curious, is the '99 Cobra lighter in weight than the '03/'04? I know you removed the heavy IRS but model for model is there much of a weight difference?

A 99' is lighter, but he added almost all of the weight back in.

The aluminum block
The T-45 trans
The smaller IRS
Lighter seats in the 99'

He put in the heavier 03' iron block/blower
The heavier T-56
A lighter solid rear.

My guess is 3450 without driver.

Thats awesome! I am just waiting for someone to put the 03 cobra motor in a fox body or 99+GT, that will really turn some heads!

The Fox body swap with the 03 cobra engine has been done already. I have a video of it at my house (I'm at a friends right now). If I remember correctly, It ran low 11s at 121+ mph with almost stock engine.

That's a lot of rwhp and torque on a Mustang Dyno for your mods. Getting that 1.75 60' time with the solid axle really sets the car up for some good times...... great job and congrats....feels good to be back in the sadlle again after two years, doesn't it???

yes it does feel good after 2 years of building my car, when i had the car dyno tuned they had to upgrade the pumps to focus pumps, i had the 03 cobra pumps and tanks, reason being the pumps did not have enough volume for the motor. final dyno mumbers were 440rwhp and 465 tq

I built this car to be a multi purpose, drag, road race and mydaily driver,
this car is essentially a race car in sheep clothing. the mods i have are:

03 cobra motor with 6 speed
99 cobra harness and computer
full after market aje k-member with a-arms
bilistien shocks and struts all around
h&r race rear springs
upper & lower control arms with delerin bushings
shperical hounsing bushings
panard bar
subframe connectors
brembo brakes for road racing n street
gt brakes fro drag use so i can run skinnies
power mods:
2.8 pulley
x-pipe no cats, bassani Gt catback
Gords HE custom for my car
12 filter and 95mm maf
3:73 gear
99 cobra flywheel
center force hybrid dual puk clutch assembly.

future mods:
long tube headers
apten blower with 2.76 pulley and retune
later on a kb or whipple

all in all i spent 20 grand in my car me doing 98% of the work but the car runs stock, no problems i drive it everyday, trying to be the first non ported upper only 03 motored cobra to hit 10.99 and im getting close, have to go 2 the track again i think a 5000 or 6grand launch would get me there as i launched at 3 grand to get the 11.44 for my very first pass. eddie

If you see anyone looking at my car for sale in front of your shop, go out there and sell it and Ill give you a small chunk of the pot!!!
