Well guys Ive been working a deal on a 2008 gt500 red with white stripes, 14,500 miles also has nav, I have got them down to 31500 for their car and 22,000 for my 12,800 mile 2012 GT deluxe 6spd. Told them if they came up to 22,500 on mine I would do the deal. They told me the deal was done and to come in on, then they tried to say they saved me 500 on financing and tax. Im not happy about the style they used but I m thinking I would still buy the car for my offer if they call back. Any input on values is appreciated.

Thank you

Depends on the market in your area - the price seems a tad high compared to what I see in Texas.

I would not trade a 2012 5.0 for 08 +10,000.

I would say to sell it outright and purchase from the private market as well.

The price seems good for the GT500.

But like previously mentioned. You are getting an older car. Granted you can make the GT500 push a lot more power.

I sold my 2011 base GT with Brembo package, 6 speed with 10,000 miles for 24,000 in order to buy a 2011 GT500 SVTPP WITH 174 ORIGINAL MILES, AS NEW. The Shelby was twice what I got for my GT, but worth it to me. My 2011 GT was never modded. I think an unmodded car is easier to sell than a modded one.

I would never have bought a modded GT 500, never.

Sell it to a private buyer, you will get more if it is what they want.

Good price for the GT500.

And I understand how you feel mislead, but if they were able to save you $500 one way or the other, what does it matter?

And before I get bashed, that's not how I operate. It's much easier to be honest with the customer all the way through a deal, that way there isn't going to be an epic explosion during the purchasing process.

As long as they saved you $500 somewhere, I'd close the deal. Good price for the car.

I agree with the others that it's a fair price! Once the modding starts on the GT500, it would be about the same as any other similar modded GT500 in regards to power. I have an 08 and purchased it brand new and I was never tempted to sell it for anything newer. You already owned a newer body style Mustang so that does not seem to be an issue for you. Purchase what YOU WANT. You if you are happy with the price, go for it.

14k miles... 31k is a bit high from my recent experience.

I'd say it's close though... maybe 1k off

Well going this route you get the Sales TAX screwing. At a dealer the total you are taxed is the Buying price - the Trade in. If you buy private party you are getting the FULL TAX. Only thing that keeps me buying from delears for high $$ cars.:pop:

Only trade the 5.0 for a 11-12 GT500.

Well not if you don't like the look of the 11-13 Mustangs. Ick. 07-09 GT500 is in **my opinion** the sexiest body style hands down. And by looking at what the 15 mustang may look like.. its gonna stay the best looking mustang ever made.

31500 isn't a bad price for the options and year. 07 GT500's on fleabay are about 31-33k for comparison.
