What would you recommend for tires for a 87 street mustang with about 300 hp. Based on tread wear and grip?

Mickey Thompson's are better than Nitto's no matter what as far as performance.
If you just want a tire that would hook up, get the job done, and last longer...go with Nitto's.
With my mods I drive on a Nitto555R and I am surprised how long they have lasted so far. Definately go with a Nitto unless you are just going to go to the track all the time then i would say get the MT.
