For sure. I’d ideally run that 285 but like you said it’s tiny at like 25” tall total. I think it’s half an inch lower than the factory tire iirc.
This guy has had some successes and learning curve but he shoe horned 315’s upfront to various degrees of success. I’d wanna see if I could figure something out with the wire harness, and what’s honestly left there because I’ve switched to a Holley efi. I have a great shop installing the Holley so I’m outta the loop on what is/isn’t getting deleted. I’d guess that loom is a door lock/window loom so it probably is not going anywhere on my car.
I’m hopeful the 305/30/19 f1 r3 runs narrow like a nitto but I doubt it.
I’m going to see if I measure a buddies 1LE front tire width what it is in person on a vehicle at 30psi aired up.
It’s a weird feeling to say my car is so old I can’t find the tires I want for it haha

Didn’t go into hiding, phone I had my log ins with got crushed at work in a conveyor against chain and rollers. Got a new one, didn’t have the passwords from the old one, did a new email, moved on. Had other priorities and forgot about this site.
Saw they’re putting the 03 cobra in Forza, searched, a link led me here, and I said I’m going to figure out how to log back in. I rebuilt the crushed phone as best I could about a year ago to try and get access to crypto wallets. Spent about $900 rebuilding it and it’s still janky but got into some of those wallets, got access to my old email, and reset my password for this site.

Back to tires, on a 1LE, my buddy said he measured just under 12/3/8” upfront and just over 12/7/8” out back.
That’s a lot of tire. I remember nitto “315’s” being a cute like 11.7” or something… that said the factory 03 cobra 275 fronts were stoutly wide and I don’t presently have a front sway bar or fender liners so I might actually get them to fit my setup if I can rerout the wire loom.

I've watched that video several times. Unfortunately I don't think those wheels will clear a 10 inch coilover spring.
The poke is also pretty bad.

Went and measured my setup. Because I don’t presently have a front sway bar I might be able to fit a skinny 305. They had a 305 Michelin pilot sport there and that sucker was wider than my 315 Toyo tq’s I have out back.
I might have to do wheels/tires this summer though, my current ones are 5 years old and have dry cracks through out. I waited to long between drives.
Current front 275’s are 10/3/4” wide. My buddy measured his 305/30/19’s at just under 12/3/8” wide.
About 1.6” difference. It’d be tight, I think it’ll need an ugly poke and a bit of camber like -1.8° with a rolled fender to work. On the inside I have a cavity though. No sway bar makes it a breeze and they’re going to wrap the wire loom in new black coating and run it inside the engine bay cleanly enough.
They like the idea of at least trying to get a 305 upfront. A couple guys have gt350’s and said we could try mounting the fronts from one to see what happens.
