So... I really didn't notice any ticking before my clutch went bad.... or before the exhaust swap.... but now.... there is something that I am not used to. What makes it worse is that my wife noticed it.

Work done in order....

Exhaust swap from Magna pacs to Spin techs.... didn't notice it then.

Hit the track and burnt the clutch.

So I took the chance to upgrade everything... to include the head cooling mod....

Spec 3 Clutch (26 spline)
Fidanza aluminum flywheel
Lethal TOB retainer sleeve
Ford Racing TOB
Fiore adjuster
UPR Triple Hook
26 spline input shaft
LDC freeplay kit
Invictus Head cooling mod

The coming questions... Head work... none that I know of and this is an 03 without the head tick issue. No cam work either

Take a listen... and hypothesize...

Exhaust leak? (you hope)

I remember that the exhaust had to come off when my clutch was replaced. Maybe it didn't get bolted back together tight enough??

the up top sound seems to just be the injectors. that is typical. underneath, I would say check the bolts on the midpipe again and also you can try adjusting the clutch a little. screw the adjuster in a couple turns and see what happens.

Chris yeah the underneath might be an exhaust leak. Let me know if you want me to stop by and double check.

I am going tojack it up today and tighten everything down....

If it doesn't fix it I will let you know... thanks

From what I have been told... Exhaust leak seems the likely cause

oh yeah... as per our discussion....

Any luck? My ticking sounds like yours but not near as loud underneath
