Tick or collector noise?

I'm trying to figure out if I have a tick. I have a new head but I'm getting a noise from the drivers side just behind the wheel and near middle of the wheel area. It may just be the Kooks longtubes with the slip on collector. It's not loud but you can hear something on that side. The passenger side is quiet. Is the tick loud or when does it really happen? Cold, hot, driving? I don't hear it in the car at idle and I don't hear it at the engine when the hood is up.

I get the same noise from my drivers side bassani collector. These motors are inherantly noisy. I think the long tubes make it worse.

Definately the Kooks. I've got a little sound too. It's the sweet things that are included with a set of long tubes!

I'm just so paranoid these days with the car, I can't bear another expense on the motor.
