My Dad died at 96 in 2018.

My Dad was physically somewhat the opposite as your Grandfather in that he was a dairy farmer, wiry and he had those Popeye forearms and baseball biceps that I wish I had, with not a stitch of fat on him even when he died. He always had 6 pack abs. And he was opposite in education, with just a HS education.

What they did have in common is that they were both Gods.
Even as an Atheist, I can confidently say to you, they are both doing fine.
Verily I say unto you, they shall see his rest.

Disclaimer: I am an atheist who stills prays..

RIP. Sorry for your loss. Keep talking out loud to them like they are still there because they are still with you, just not in the same way. You'll find solace in prayer. I didn't believe in all that until my dad committed suicide and the revelations that happened after. I'll pray for you and yours.
