My wife really surprised me this year with a Kimber CDP II. I had no clue she was getting it for me, all I asked for was a pair of shoe's. So we finish diner and she hands me a gift that I can tell is a pair of shoe's so I open it up and sitting there in all it's beauty is a Kimber Ultra CDP II. I have a great Wife!

That is a really nice looking gun. I was going to ask if was inexpensive but then noticed the suggested retail price of $1,318.00. Enjoy it!

I have the same model and I love it. I went from 5" 1911 (Springfield Operator) to this one and it has a slight bit more recoil if you A/B'd them back to back, but you get used to it quite easily. My only suggestion is to get some nice magazines. The factory ones have those little sharp edges on the bottom that dig into your hand. Wilson Combat makes some that are just for these Kimbers that work flawlessly. I believe it's the 47,OX:

very nice....i have a crimson carry and its my favorite pistol (out of the 8 i have). you will love the 1911, the singal stack mag make them great for conceal carry!! i always thought it would be cool to start a gun thread to see what everyones got (i can fill up one page by myself) maybe ill get on that soon:rockon:
