SVTP seems to be getting enough GTD's for its own mini series... let me bring the 996 cup car...

Sure, bring a racecar. lol

I fully expect my Comp Coupe to be faster than the GTD.

100% the comp coupe will be faster. But will be curious to see the GTD on the DH's.

I'd genuinely love to meet up somewhere like Sonoma for an svtp track day.

You'd also all be welcome to come up to my track. I can hook anyone up

I agree. I think the weight will just hurt it as a 'track car'...but DHs should be good for 2-4 seconds at most tracks.

I would be down...just not sure there's enough of us to make it 'worth it'.

I bet @treynor would happily join.

Speaking of @treynor, I'm wondering if it was his Ferrari 499 that went playing in the sand a LS the other day?

Oh well, me and you can find a group, I'm planning to tour the West coast track in the cup car since it's not my money :D

Mine will be yellow - due to be delivered early next year.

It's easy to miss the braking into the corkscrew in a fast car without ABS. Better to drive through the sand than put it into the wall.

hypothetical, since quite a few of us have applied for the GTD on svtp and from what I thought is that if we do get an allocation we can choose our dealer. If that is so, do you think we could convince ford to let us all take delivery @13COBRA ‘s dealership? I know some viper owners were able to time delivery at the Connor plant years ago.

For sure. If you get an allocation, you pick your delivery spot.
