I believe it was on CNBC. I have it DVR'd to watch later. This was a recording from a live feed. Was this televised? Someone is very happy! That's awesome!
HA HAAAAAAAAI know someone who went there with hopes of a chance with a $1M budget. His hopes and dreams were shattered in less than .8 seconds
He should have kept it in the family, his dad wouldn’t sell it. I had a feeling when he was parading it around this would be the end result.Seller's parents bought and used it for a daily driver for years.
So glad I saw this car in person two years ago at the Woodward dream cruise and then the next day at Ford HQ.
very cool to see the camera mounts, tape on the tach for McQueen to shift, holes in the trunk for smoke, etc
whats even funnier was some guy was telling him 550k max. I could't help but roll my eyes
Honestly I would have done the same and sold it. Think of the new home, 2020 GT500, perfect 68 Bullitt replica that would have been worlds better and so much more that he can buy with the money that old rusted Bullitt gave him.He should have kept it in the family, his dad wouldn’t sell it. That's the sad part, because usually when a car with such history is bought by a private collector, it's never seen again except by private invitation.Actually landed right where I had seen it predicted to be.
An amazing piece of automotive / Hollywood history.
Wonder where its off to. Ever to be seen again? Or into a private collection, and never to be seen again???
