I use propane with the charcoal stuffs just above the flame. Doesn't matter what I use to cook my food, I was always the best cook out of all my freinds and family. My all time favorite thing to cook on is strait up fire using wood.

You must be from KC:lol: If you have access to a smoker, and know a lil about it smoking is the best. But you can ruin meat if yuou don't know what your doing. If not would have to be charcoal for flavor, propane for convience.

Charcoal all the way. It's a bitch to light and clean. It takes longer to cook, but it's worth the taste IMO.

Smoking in a big BBQ pit is the way to go. With practice you can get steaks, chicken, corn, and sausages cooking at the same time by just moving around to the cool spots and raising and lowering of the grate. Damn I'm gettin hungry.
