Everyone knows the Harrier, the fighter jet that can take off and land vertically, famously used in the USMC.

But what you might not know is, that jet was named after the real bird fo prey, the Harrier. Which, like the fighter jet, is the only large bird of prey that can take off and land vertically. So they named the fighter jet after it.

Really cool acft...loud as hell in a hover!

Not quite A6 or F4 loud at full song but pretty close

An A6 under tension was stupid loud...and i loved it lol
