I keep going back and forth on my 1967 mustang. It needs a lot of work but could be such an amazing car if I dumped my money into it. Here's the dilemma...

I can dump money into this car and pray to god gas doesn't hit $8 a gallon...

or

I can save my money and have a good start for a down payment on a house when I get out of college.

Which would you do and why?

Definitely save up for a house. Even if gas does not go up, it is not going to come down much either. If gas stays the same, in a couple of years you can still make the changes or buy a different car.

Both. It's feasible, but will take longer for both. Figure out a budget, then figure out what percentage you want to allocate towards a house, and what you want to go towards the Mustang. I would do 75% house, 25% Mustang.

It's easy for it to weigh 1800 pounds with no motor, no fenders, no transmission, no suspension, no rear axle, etc etc etc

House first, then mustang. Or both as Kyle suggested. Either way, a house would be more important imo.

If you finish that mustang are you gonna let it sit out in the weather at an apartment? Buy the house, you will have a garage and alot more possibilities.

Save that shit! It's hard to put off the things that excite you, but you'll be glad u did later. Do the car when u can actualy "afford" to enjoy it, and not just "paying" for it.

FlahDah man.
Do both, it may just take a lot longer to get the car to the dream state.
