The differences between superchargers

Serious question-
I don't understand the difference between supercharger set-ups. What makes a Procharger different from a Whipple or a Vortech? Why do they look so different if they're doing basically the same thing?

Go to YouTube. Search that. There are a bunch of videos that do a great job explaining the difference between a centrifugal, roots and twin screw supercharger.

You're not likely to get many people willing to do basic homework for you. Take a couple hours and do a bit of research on the basics, then come back with specific questions you have trouble finding answers for. You'll get a lot more help that way.

There are some awesome videos - that are far better than people here typing out the basics. And likely some of the people here MADE the videos. Like SID said - the basics are out there and very well done and accurate. The folks here can then answer specifics to help you dial in a decision.
