Testing my original motorcraft coils ohm question???

Hey guys I’m in the process of up grading my ignition system and I wanted to see how my 27 year old packs are doing so my primary resistance is 1.2-1.3 ohms left and right pack my secondary are at 12.6-12.75k ohm left and right

Testing specs call for

Primary resistance 0.3 - 1.0 ohms
Secondary resistance 6.5 - 11.5 kohms.

I’m definitely way above the threshold can anyone elaborate is it a good time to upgrade or change coil packs?

Any electrical component outside the manufacturer specifications should be changed.

As resistance goes (UP) your amperage goes (DOWN).

My stumble misfire is now gone with the new dragon fire wires I ordered a set of screamin demon coil packs to go along with them can’t wait to get out to the dragstrip

Screamin demon packs are on she runs great resistance on the primaries were the same as the stockers but the secondary were right at 10.9-11k so a bit lower and runs very very smooth!
