Impressive. Had the premium package, 3.31's, and the auto trans. They didn't have a stick. Anyways, pulled pretty hard, handled very well, rode nice, and it was fairly quiet. The thing that got me was the way the power came on, it was strong from idle to redline. At about 4k rpm it really woke up, could feel the difference in acceleration. Sounded great too. Anyone looking for a dd, go check it out.

Same here, are the magazine testers really getting 13.7 or is that a bit optimistic? Also aren't Mach 1s capable of the same 13.7 like my 99 cobra? I will not race my new car but I want to know the true potential of this car.

I think the track conditions and location had a role in the times. My 04 Mach1 ran 13.3-4@105 stock with street tires in NC and the the magazine testers got a 13.2. so if they got high 13's out of the v6 mustang then its possible. with cai, exhaust, gears and tune the v6 mustang will be a 12 second player. I can't wait to see one modded!

With a tune our v6 test vehicle walked a mach 1 froma roll.

How does a high 13 second car walk a Mach1?

As for the gearing, they are already geared pretty damn aggressive!

1st 4.236
2nd 2.538
3rd 1.665
4th 1.238
5th 1.00
6th 0.70
Final (optional) 3.31

With that short of a first gear anymore gear and 1st gear will be almost useless.
