79K miles, lowered, stegemier saleen wheels. The IRS was noisy and loose as a goose wheel-hoppin mutha! Reminded me of a lot of women in Reno, had some good parts on her back-when but been rode hard and put away wet too many times! :nono:

IRS was noisy?

sure the T56 wasnt noisy, usually 5th and 6th gears have a low hum under cruise. As far as loose, define loose, cause it usually varies driver to driver.

It was banging on throttle on/off like the bushings were totally shot, or what I assumed was the mysterious "clunk."

I just stopped to have a look and the salesman accosted me and asked if i wanted to drive it. Now what honest man woldn't say yes when asked? I sure hope my '04 doesn't feel like that thing at 79,000!

Sounded like it was the rear diff cradle bushings, or the diff mounts themselves. it ws a pretty good bang whenever loading/unloading the differential. and wheelhop, whoee!
