you are wrong ..as a 11 second 2003 evo owner i can tell you exactly what it takes to run mid 11's on a evo..first E85..then 1050cc injectors($400) and a whalbro 255lph pump($100). then 3" turbo back exhaust and a test pipe($700) , then a reflash dyno tune for the e85 ($300) then a K&N airfilter drop in ($50) ,underdrive pulleys ($100), then a hallman boost controller ($100) set it to 25 psi spike 23 taper at redline the stock evo 8 turbo will handle it fine as stock boost is 18-19 spike w 16 at redline.thats less than $1,700 in parts .make sure ur clutch can handle it and be a good driver ..ive ran 11.6@120mph w a 1.6 60 foot on normal street tires ,just took out spare tire and trunk stuff about 45lbs.,,no cams or internals needed stock turbo is fine as many ppl have run 10's on stock turbo gutted interior of course.. when i dyno'd at 308awhp 312 lbft on a mustang dyno i ran a 12.2@114mph on 91 pump gas,,just switched to E85 and tune a lil bit i did 359awhp and 362lbft that power net me the 11.6@120mph factor in a 20% drivetrain loss for awd i have around 430 crank hp. and my car weighs 3160 on the scale at the track w 1/4 tank no driver

u must be an idiot ,,230 awhp will be around 290 crank hp ull run mid 13's @ around 101 mph ...its because the 1.6 60 foot launches if u do it right..and the stock motor will handle 10's easily,,stock cams are good for low 11's and stock turbo can run high 10's if tuned right and gutted car. the evo 4g63 motor is bullet proof , and yes running 10's are gonna need a fair amount of mods and a larger turbo makes it a whole lot easier but its possible on stock turbo if ur lucky..cams are not really needed till u start making over 500 crank hp. and again cams will make it easier but u absolutly underestimate the evo ..i smoke mustang all day everyday cobras are nothing..just last weekend i ran a LS1 camaro SS on 150 wet shot and straight cut out pipes and rolling on 305wide BFG drag radials i beat him 4-5 carlengths we raced till 120mph from a dig.He is prolly a low 12 or high 11 sec car. also raced his buddy a 6.0 gto automatic on 100 shot and hoosier drag radials that night too , i beat him 6-7 cars hes prolly running low to mid 12's
