Terminator vs 5.0

In a crazy dilemma really want a terminator but don't see me paying over 20k for a 10yr old car unless it has low miles and a whipple. But I have a buddy with a 2011 5.0 built 1500hp mmr bottom end. Full bolt ons for 20k flat. Needs a transmission but runs a little lean. What should I do???

Op I feel your Dilemma.. I love the Terminator.. but 20k for a car 10-12yo is steep… as for the 5.0 with tranny issues.. i would steer completely clear of that. have you considered a 07-09 shelby? what is your price range?

Terminators worth their price folks. I owned 2 of them. Amazing cars. I would buy a terminator over a 5.0 and shelby over both.

I paid north of 20k cash for my car, mods in sig, 18k miles, 1 owner. It hurt and I questioned my sanity for paying that much money for a 10yr old Mustang. So far no regrets. I love my car and love driving it.

If you like brutal power and don't mind the rough edges (quality control), a Terminator is a great choice. They're a blast to drive. Otherwise, go with a newer 5.0 or GT-500. Finding lower mileage Terminators is going to get increasingly difficult as time passes. If you are wanting one and can find a good one with lower miles at a decent price, go for it. They will, at least in the short term, continue to hold their value. 5-10 years from now, who knows.
