I am nearing the completion of my ar-15 pistol. All that I need is a bolt carrier assembly and charging handle. Both are in short supply, so I decided to look for a gun case. Rifle cases are too large, and pistol cases are too small. I wanted something inconspicuous and thought of this:

Its really just for me to carry to and from the range. Its a good fit, and I think that the tennis racket bag is kind of stealthy. Other than having HEAD on the bag it shouldn't draw too much attention.

I built this ar as fun range toy. Its going to make alot of noise and bright fire balls.
Just like violin cases, whenever I see a tennis racket bag Im going to think that a gun is in it.

Nice weapon there, and a very clever case. Looks like the fit is darn near perfect. Seeing your setup I couldn't help but think of the occasional violence we've seen at tennis matches around the world against players. Maybe they need to carry your weapon of choice as well. In their tennis bag. LOL!

Nice FLATTOP, how do you like the new composite mags??? Are they better than the standard milspec metal mags?

The pmags are pretty good. I also like the usgi mags. Other than the looks of the pmags, I don't have a real preference. They both have performed flawlessly in other ar-15s that I have.

Once I get the charging handle, bolt carrier assembly, and flip up rear sight, it will come in at just under $800.

Wow. I need links if you found this stuff online.

Probably cant find it that cheap anymore

Yeah I bought the lower and buffer tube back in 07. The lower was $95, and is registered as a pistol. The buffer tube was $20 or so IIRC. The lower parts kit was $60.
I bought my upper, free float tube, gas tube, and flash hider from here: Firearms, ar15 parts, ar15 accessories, m16, ar15 kns
I bought the barrel from here: 7 DPMS Kitty Kat barrel [7 barrel] - $189.00 : Spikes Tactical
Both companies were great to deal with, and both shipped everything out very quickly.
