Tear Down Has Begun...Quick Question

Well with only 35 psi on a compression test in the #3 cylinder, winter teardown and living like a poor broke college student to save cash has begun...I miss beer....anyways I am having trouble getting the clutch fan off...the tool from autozone that lists the 5.4L ...nothing in there comes close to fitting that nut...any ideas?

i used big adjustable wrench and a pipe wrench to get clutch fan off.

I've always used an air hammer with a long chisel bit.

actually I think it might be reverse thread so it tightens and doesnt come flying off with the motor running. I could be wrong though. It's been so long since I took mine off.

99% positive thats it's reverse thread. I don't remember, it's been so long since I took mine off.

It is reverse thread. We took mine off with a big crescent(sp) wrench.

Use a big pry bad between the WP pully screws and the use a BFW on the fan shaft.

Channel lock pliers is my tool of choice to take that nut off.
