Nexus 10 here. That or the Nexus 7 are good bets. The Nexus line runs a lot smoother and bug free than the branded Android counterparts.

2014 note 10.1 ... So far it looks pretty cool. 3 gigs of ram and an octacore processor should give it good multitasking. I'm not can apple fan so I'm more than likely getting the Samsung

For a student or someone that needs to take notes, it makes life easier. Newer tabs can split the screen, so you can have a website or article up on one side, and write on the other. You can do this with a phone too, but the extra real estate makes life easier

Both my gf and I have the ipad mini and like them. My dad is getting the surface for xmas and Im curious to see how it is.

Apple All the way. I am an apple freak thou. But it's based on experience. I used an asus something for a year when I contracted for someone. Hated the damn thing. I was always cussing ans swearing at it. My ipad 2 is two years old and still runs awesome. I love how my everything integrates.
