sorry to be a pain, but is the pinion flange the bracket that connects the driveshaft to the rear end? Why do I need a new one if I already have one that fits my rearend? Cant I just use that one on my new driveshaft? Also, I searched that sight, and I didnt see a driveshaft for an 03-04 cobra.

I'm only looking at $2000 tops....

Your going to spend more than 2000.00

Here is my run down for what i spent

T56 used tranny 750.00
Cross Member 75.00
Bell Housing 230.00
03 Cobra Driveshaft 230.00
Pinion Flange 15.00
Spec Clutch for 26 spline 360.00
Getting tranny built to support high hp 1350.00
shipping charges 250.00

I am up to 3260.00 and havent even included labor yet.

I really wanted the extra gear, but who knew it would be so expensive.

Well I got a used t-56, bellhousing, crossmember, flywheel, clutch for $1400. Only thing I should need is a driveshaft? So thats $200, puts me at $1600 with $400 to spare. And there will be no labor costs, it will be done by me and a friend.

I'll agree to an extent... but good deal anyhow

Thanks. I got it from over in the terminator sale section. He originally wanted 1400 for just the tranny. But talked him into that price for everything I need, minus driveshaft. Only has 9,000 miles on it. He's going automatic in his termy.

i never would have thought a t56 (even a viper spec one) plus a driveshaft and x-member would run 3800 bucks...the guy that bought my last 01 got a t56 swap kit from D&D, the cobra-R spec tranny, aluminum driveshaft, and x-member, for like 2700...i didn't figure the viper trans cost 1100 more...

will a shifter from my t-45 work on the t-56?

Yes it will, or at least mine is still in there and working fine. Here's my old T-45 Pinion Flange the new one is a little larger.

LOL...so you're saying that your current t56 has the shifter from your t45? i know you're not trying to be a dick, but t45 and t56 shifters are NOT interchangeable...
