t 56 f/s

I have a t 56 out of an 03 cobra. i was gonna put it into my fox car but have decided to just go with a tko. I am having enough traction problems with 5 gears I don't think a lower first will help any. Guy I got it from went to an auto in his car. Car was stock when tranny was removed. Tranny does not have shifter and no slave cylinder. I am asking $800 plus shipping. I have pictures I can send in an email. You can email me at

The t56 actually has a higher first gear doesn't it?

yes the t-56 has a 2.66 first compared to stock gt which is about a 3.37. the cobra 1st is good to about 48mph at 6400rpms

in order to swap dont we need to install a reverse switch or something?

the t56 will bolt up to a 4.6 block, however u need the crossmember off of a cobra as well, plus run wires for the reverse lockout solenoid

Make sure it's not an LS1 Tranny. They had a slave cylinder. They run a hydrolic throw out bearing setup.

it is a cobra tranny. I watched the guy drive the car into the shop. I was told it needed a slave cylinder I never looked into once I got to pricing the changin everything over under the car.
