Did a search.. Found nothing but sale ads. Here's the question can you or has anyone bought a passenger seat (normally it better shape) and replaced/installed on the driver side normally has more wear and tear. They look identical but is this possible?

This is something that I wanted to do since my first 03 mustang. I wanted to put in a passenger side or swap the bottom components to delete the power seat and shave weight. I rememeber I removed both and could not figure out how to the swap.
I still have interested for my 00 mustang, any one done what OP is asking?
Modenausa, for Cobra I still think you want to have all the nice comforts the power seat affords just my two pennies...

I've done this mod to my friends 1998 gt with a power driver seat. I removed both seats, pulled out the power seat box out of the drivers seat which was a much smaller box than our new edges. I simply cut a small enough hole in the passenger seat to fit the controller cable in and glued it to the fabric in back of the controller. You can swap over the seat belt holder on the head rest as well, but i did not take the time to see if I could do the same with the seat latch on the side.
The only way your really going to see if you can fab it up is if you remove both seats and put them side to side and make some measurements and develop ideas for it. The other potential problem is removing the lumbar support and side bolsters controller. Maybe it is easier to just switch skins and then make a hole for the side bolster controller.

Totally spaced on the power running to the seat. I just had an opportunity to pick up a seat cheaper then a new seat covers. Plus my drivers side isn't bad it's just starting to show wear and I don't like it. Someone else recommended to just have the leather guy come out and they do a repair to make it look like new again...
