Seems i wasn't the only one who picked up a set of SW longtubes this summer but i havent seen any pictures so ill share. Sorry this is lengthy but im a very descriptive person. apology ahead of time.

To start the cars a 12 PW 6A with roughly 2500 miles.
I began with a Kooks catback and threw her on the dyno with the stock tune. 370WHP 332WTQ in 3rd. #'s are STD btw.

Went to the track and did a best on 12.9 on this simple catback setup with stock tire and suspension. DA was around 3,000 that night from what i remember.

Decided it wasn't enough so i got some SW LT's w/ catted X & Airaid CAI
Wanted to give a thanks to Beefcake for the great pricing on the LT's and customer service in getting these out to me.

As you can see SW makes a great product and IMO a signature sound that is unmatched whichever catback or axelback you choose.

Had a local shop install for $400.
Put some wheel well shots to reference what side of the engine im showing.
Used all stock hardware from Gaskets to Reusing Studs and Bolts. No 02 Extension was used.

Took it to the track this past Friday. DA again was around 3,000FT and hotter than hell. Still on stock tire and suspension. Car was very consistent

Im getting no wheelspin or hop on the launches or runs. Im loading to the car up to around 1200-1800RPM and dropping the hammer on launches.

Auto guys please chime in on pointers. Id like to see this car hit 11's this year.

Overall im pleased with the car but i think the tune has more in it and the shift points could be better. (Sean-AED-) i think you can help me out some on this now that i have the mods on the car.
Probably drop the cats soon for some extra power, but i would like to hit 11's NA before F/I

Videos anyone?

First few runs out i rolled up against a GTR. Silly i know but i held it down for the mustang community and made him work for it on the launch....well kinda lol

I think the drop in times were from the tune. The advantage of the LT is the sound, which I am in love with!

Very nice car, those headers look awesome.

Gotta love how the GTR with intake, exhaust, and tune could only manage the same trap speed a a bone stock '13 GT500. And the GT500 won't need a new engine and transmission after it goes to the track either.

Anyone who pays $90K for a junk Nissan has to be on drugs. Just like the idiots paying $500K for a Toyota sports car (LFA), there is no word for people that stupid and ignorant.

I agree. The sound is very distinct.

Thanks,
I dont usually use a corrected ET to compensate for DA, but on my fastest run of the night in perfect air it says 12.086 @ 118MPH. Heat and Humidity is what kills my times, especially in the summer.

I agree, but im cutting high 1.9 60's with no spin on the launch after i clear the tires skipping the water box. I think its gonna take a 1.7 60 to get into the 90's in the 1/8

Thank you sir.

Owner of the GTR was very friendly. Its got over 40K miles on it. Daily driver. Kid is very young saying he had just graduated college. must be nice.

I'm gonna give you a hot tip for better times with the auto....do not load the car on the start. Have your left foot on the brake and your right foot just over the gas pedal...when you see the last yellow light at the same time let off the brake and stab the gas pedal right to the floor. The converter will flash higher and you will get way better 60ft times. I go around the water and back in then roll out alittle and heat the tires some then just roll to the line.

My car with a JTL CAI, Lethal O/R X, and a BBR tune has gone 1.88 on the stock tires. Drop the air in the back tires to 27 psi. It's gone consistent 12.0's with a best of 12.03 at 116.66, with the spare and jack still in the trunk. My brothers auto with same mods, just a little lighter has gone 1.87 with a best of 11.98 at 116 using the same method.

My first time to the track I tried loading the car on the line and it consistently went slower...then I switched to the launch method above and the times dropped considerably!

Good luck!

What about reaction time with that method. I launch at 1500 to get a good light.

I don't do any bracket racing or heads up racing...its all test & tune and shooting for a quicker/faster time, but my reaction times are surprisingly good and pretty consistant. Most important to me though is running the quickest time possible and flashing the converter off idle works.

I think that car should be in the 11's already. A friend of mine has a bone stock, loaded out the butt, auto 2012 and has run 12.5. Of course, the DA was much better at the time. Still, there has to be more in this car.

I agree. Tune and shift points need some work

Those headers look great.

Thanks
