I did this build on my own, in my garage....

More than anything else, the whole build is dedicated to one of my best friends, he passed before it got underway but it was dreamt up with him and it's dedicated to him

wrenching with vinnie

RIP Vinnie, we love you and miss you...

On to the truck!

It was purchased new in February of 2003 after I had ordered it in December '02

It spent the first few years of it's life as my daily driver, and had the usual bolt-ons, intake, chip, pulley, exhaust, and eventually a smalllllllll shot of nitrous :D ... ran a best of 11.90 with the stock motor before I went crazy.

Now we're talking!

How I Chose My Mustang:
I first had my eyes set on getting a 1991 5.0 Mustang. I really wanted to get a convertible, and cruise around town having a nice mustang to show off, but obviously plans changed for the best! Although many people may look at a V6 and turn the other cheek, I saw much more potential in fixing up a V6, than a V8 Mustang. I was looking around for a mustang, when I found a deal in the Recycler Classifieds. I went to take a look at this mustang and fell in love with it. That same day I took it home, bone stock, to show it off to everyone. Just being able to be a part of the Mustang family gave me a great feeling of honor, but I had to beef up my "6 banger" just a bit more to keep up with the big V8 guys.

How I Transformed My Mustang:
I have now owned my mustang for a bit over 6 years and it has been my project building the engine, fixing the exterior, getting sponsors, and through each step of the way their have been heartaches and headaches, but I wouldn't change any minute of it for the world. From each step you learn, it is always a learning process when you own a Ford Mustang, V6 or V8.

When I first purchased my Mustang in 1999, I really did not have an idea as to how I could modify it and just loved it the way it was a 1995 FORD MUSTANG. I was then very curious as to how I could fix up my mustang to look just a bit better than stock. Although I told the people around me, "All I want is 5 modifications for my car and I will be done," we have all come to realize that is now FAR from the truth. Little by little I started researching the capabilities of the Ford Mustang. I started visiting online messageboards asking technical questions and learning on my year mustang. Such websites as V6power.net, MustangForums.com, 3.8Mustang.com and MustangWorld.com have been websites that I have greatly benefited from and that I can only truly thank. It is thanks to those websites that I gained all the knowledge of my Mustang and was able to transform it to what it is today, a street ripping supercharged V6 mustang.

here's my submission:
it's an 88 LX. When I got the car, it was a beat up hunk of junk, it ran horrible, and nothing worked the way it should, the wiring was spliced all to hell and the interior was spray painted glossy black (carpet and seats included!)...

My father and I completely disassembled this car, did the body work on it and rebuilt it. We had a blast rebuilding it and made sure it was done right! The only thing we didn't do on the car was the paint.

the mods are:
Engine:
bored .030 over (all forged internals)
F-303 cam
AFR 185 heads (w/ 1.7 RR)
RPM 2 intake
BBK 70mm throttle boday and EGR spacer

Drivetrain:
Tremec TR3550
Aluminum Driveshaft
3:73 rear gears

Suspension:
Urethane bushings throughout
Tokico Blue shocks
subframe connectors

Missc:
130 amp alternator upgrade
electric fan
Complete Alpine stereo system
Custom fiberglass Sub inclosure (hidden in spare tire well)

here are the pics:
DSCN3939.jpg

and one of it going back together!

ok here is my submission: 1998 Chrome Yellow Cobra
I bought this car back in 1998, she was sitting on the showroom floor just a calling out my name. The cobra only had 46 miles on her and now she has 73k.
The cobra only get driven like 3000 miles a year and does not see rain or snow. I have 2 daughters of 5 and 9. My 5 year old calls my cobra the vroom vrooom car and my 9 year old loves the sound of the exhaust and she loves to go to shows with me. I try to take very good care of my cobra, she has only seen Zaino products for the paint and I would like to say after 11 years she can still shine like she is new. I very proud of this car and I really enjoy it very much. MM&FF published my car in there mag, I can scan in the article if you wish me to.
I have not done to much for mods but here they are
magnapak X pipe
magnapak catback system
BBK cold air intake
A piller has oil pressure gauge and Temp gauge from autometer
150 amp alt for stereo system
2 12" kicker comp subs
poineer 7600 DSP
poineer 8200 deck
4 6" JL mids in front
2 boston pro tweets
4 faruad the cap
2 PPI 2300.2 amps
all yellow powerline and yellow RCA cable to match the car
she can still shine

Up comming mods, I have H&R SS springs, chrome CC plates, black FR500's and new shocks and struts comming. I know she is not the best looker but she is mine.

Well here goes, Ever since the Lightings came out in 1999 i always knew i wanted one but could never afford one. Several years later after i joined then got out of the military. I went to look at several but were still a bit out of my reach, so i setteled for a 2004 Black Mach1. I enjoyed the Mach1 and modded it lightly. After a few months i was rear ended by a lawn maintence vehicle and totalled my car. Now i figured this as being a sign and time to get my Lightning, after looking for several weeks with no luck and finding some beat up ones. I walk into Carmax with my dad driving by one day, and there it was on the lot.
The day i brought it home:

I guess I'll give it shot too.

Here's my story...
I remember wanting a '03 Cobra back when it was still in spy photos in late '01/'02. I never would've thought that two years later I would've bought one and that-just five years later, my car would be this. It has definitely exceeded my expectations and is beyond anything I could've dreamt of. I have more hours in this car than I can count! If I'm not working on my customer's cars, I'm working on my Terminator which I named Black Betty.

Not only does she have stunning looks but she's the first Eaton-Charged Terminator to be in the 9's and still holds the National ET Record over 70 weeks later for being the quickest Eaton Charged Terminator ever.
Her Best with the Eaton/Nitrous is [email protected]. She has gone [email protected] with a 2.3 Whipple and no nitrous, and currently has a 3.4 Crusher that I'm still tweeking on with a best thus far of [email protected].

Here's my current list of mods.
The car has full weight for the most part, what I consider to be tasteful (which is my opinion) weight reduction is taking out a part and replacing it with a lighter part that's just as durable if not more (Like Replacing K members, A Arms, etc). I don't have the heart to hack up a car that I love so dearly. All the carpet, insulation, trim, backseats, spare tire etc. are all there.

Short Block:
FRPP Modular Boss 5.0 Block built by me with KP 4340 Crankshaft, Oliver Billet Rods, and Diamond Pistons.

Supercharger:
Gen I 3.4 Whipple Crusher with 160mm Monoblade, 123mm MAF housing, and Whipple Crusher inlet system.

Heads:
Ported 03 Cobra Heads done by Virtual Works Racing

Cams:
Voodoo Racing Speced Custom Ground Comp Cams

Exhaust:
Custom Equal Length 1 3/4" step headers made by BSR Fabrications
Dynomax Mufflers

Fuel:
Dual -6 Feeds
80LB Injectors
Fore Precision Works Triple Pump Hat with 3 FGT SC Pumps
Wiring Upgrade to Zone 5 MDM

Tune:
My Tune with asst. from Carl Chastain

Stereo:
Pioneer Touch Screen Double Den DVD Player with MB Quarts, 6x9s, Door Speakers, and Tweets powered by a Hiphonics Zeus Amp.

Suspension:
QA1 Tubular K member and arms
QA1 Coil Overs
Granatelli Subframe connectors welded in by BSR Fabrications
MMR Upper Control Arms
Custom Lower Control Arms
Some offbrand camber plates that I got as a gift

Transmission:
4R70W built by Performance Transmission Las Vegas by Len
PTC Converter
FRPP Driveshaft
Solid Axle
Welded Axle tubes from BSR Fabrications
Strange 31 Spline Axles
31 Spline FRPP Diff

Saftey:
Wolfe Race Craft 10 Pt. certed to 8.50's welded in by Mike Dunn.
Fully Painted

G Force Window Net
G Force 5 Point Harnesses for Driver and Passenger
Wolfe Race Craft Parachute Rack with Stroud Parachute

Paint:
Candyman Paint painted the car
Devious Designs did the pinstriping and the True Flames

I'm sure there's somethings I've forgotten but I will definitely not forget to thank my wife first and foremost for taking my **** all these years and for believing in me when I needed it the most, and my friends and customers for trusting me and supporting me all these years.

It was definitely hard to decide which 3 pictures to choose from...

I bought this car a few years ago from out of state. It nearly didn't make it home as we got caught in a giant snow storm. I was really happy with the car for about the first six months, it had a built motor with an upgraded fuel system and a blower. I changed a few small details but left it almost how it was from when I first bought it. In the middle of a race with a friends RX7 a ringland went south and this was when the mod bug re-appeared in my life.
It now has a fully built motor, manley pistons/rods, arp everywhere, stage 3 cams, stock b heads/intake. Fully sumped gas tank with lines, rails, 78lb injectors. TKO600 manual tranny, (love bangin gears), s380 custom borg warner turbo build. The turbo build is really trick and everyone is really impressed with how stock-ish it fits. Alpine audio everywhere, auto meter boost, egt, fuel pressure, aem wideband.
What I love about my car is it's done to my taste, I think its clean and original and not over the top. One would never guess the punch it's packing until they see the tailights after a gear or so. I pull litre bikes on the freeway and after the install of a cage this winter I'm hoping for deep 9's @ 15xmph through a manual, daily driven, street car.
Whether it be a local car show during the week, a national drag racing event, or just a Sunday afternoon cruise, in my opinion, my car truly is the best of the best everywhere it goes.

Some low boost passes at the track:
