Last 2 days have been unfun. some opportunities in the Green space. HASI & CWEN are interesting.
Utilities getting slaughtered on higher for longer.
Took some winners, higher for longer may be sinking into the market.
Watching HASI closely.

I was struck by NEP chart, which is being crushed, similarity to BTC. EU may ban crypto mining due to power consumption. Higher for longer not BTC friendly, watch out, the market turning on NEP was fast.
I'm down over $20,000 in just one week.... $63,000 since July. More disturbing is that we're down $255,000 since January 2022, and that's without making any major withdrawals from our IRA. We've seen substantial losses on both sides of our 65%/35% bonds/stocks ladder. There are very few safe havens these days. Needless to say, Bidenomics is not working for us retirees.

401k isn’t very flexible. Got out of funds in April after grabbing 10% and have been in cash since.
Missed the huge run up over summer as I totally did not expect it. However I’m back to being ahead of the markets YTD.
Some really big firms have some options positions betting on sub 4000 S&P here in 4th quarter.

God help us if the Democrats "win" (i.e. cheat) again in 2024. My wife and I have already started planning our "what if" actions if that happens. Part of which may include liquidating all of our tangible assets, obtaining a 5-year tourist visa, and moving to Belize, Panama, or some other central American country that is friendly to American ex-patriots.
The exchange rate currently works in our favor, too.... for now, anyway. The Democrats could easily screw that up within the next year or two.
