The second official event day of Mustang Week 2012 found us at Myrtle Beach Speedway, a NASCAR sanctioned oval just a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean. For those in attendance the day was filled with autocross, fun runs around the speedway, a drifting exhibition by Vaughn Gittin Jr, and the Annual SVTPerformance.com/Discount Tire Direct Burnout Competition.
We have so much coverage of Day 2 that we're going to break it all down into four separate threads. In this thread we will bring you pics from the Fun Runs and some of the activities at the track. Blow-By Racing was on hand doing a live cam install on a 4.6L 3V GT, which drew a steady crowd, as did the free Monster energy drinks. However, the Fun Runs proved to be incredibly popular this year. This is where participants get the chance to take their cars around Myrtle Beach Speedway's half-mile asphalt oval. As someone who has done this before, I can tell you it's amazing fun. If you ever get a chance to make it to Mustang Week you have to try this out. Until then, here's a ton of pics:beer:
