Better late than never I suppose. That's how I'm looking at our unfortunately late coverage of Mustang Week 2012, sorry it has taken this long. On the plus side, I doubt you'll find coverage this media rich anywhere else. Over the five days of events we manages to collect several thousand pics. We've been working hard to distill them down to the few hundred best. We'll be releasing them in a series of threads over the next day or so in this forum.
The second official event day of Mustang Week 2012 found us at Myrtle Beach Speedway, a NASCAR sanctioned oval just a few miles from the Atlantic Ocean. For those in attendance the day was filled with autocross, fun runs around the speedway, a drifting exhibition by Vaughn Gittin Jr, and the Annual SVTPerformance.com/Discount Tire Direct Burnout Competition.
We have so much coverage of Day 2 that we're going to break it all down into four separate threads. In this thread we will bring you pics from the autocross. If you look closely you may catch a glimpse of the SVTP GT. Editor Turner from 5.0 Magazine got a chance to autocross a new 2013 RTR Mustang GT. Vaughn Gittin Jr even took the time to set up the suspension for him. We got to see some really interesting things on the the coarse that day, everything thing from classic Mustang spinning out to the cone chaises canopy trying to make an escape. Check it all out:beer:
