LOL... you definitely whoop'd ur buddies 501 rwhp Cobra, almost seems they got the numbers mixed up on the dyno sheet, If ur car is making an uncorrected est. of 350-400rwhp, then that cobra must be making 105-150rwhp (by the way you were yanking him on EVERY run)

Here is a very SH*tty driver in an 03 Cobra making 480rwhp and a Viper with like mods to urs... The outcome is a little different :dw::

YouTube - Viper vs Cobra

and an 06 srt10 (500 fly. hp) vs a 460 rwhp Cobra

YouTube - 03 Cobra vs SRT10 Viper

At any rate, a win is a win, and you hands down beat ur bud... :rolling:
The vids you posted arent exactly the helping your point. In the first vid the viper has less mods, while the cobra has less power but also has a solid rear witch would shed some of its weight, and the cobra still lost. And the second vid, holy shit does that viper need a driver. Same rwhp and alot less weight, but loses, I dont need to say much else. As for the original vid, why are people surprised? The cobra makes more peak power, but what about low/mid range power, weight, usable powerband, etc? A full bolton GTS should be making around 440-450rwhp (I think, viper guys chime in on this), so while it should have been a closer race, I don't see a win for the viper surprising. Gen 2 vipers seem to be regarded as slow because they only make 450hp, but they are alot faster then some give them credit for.

Precisely. There's a lot of people that just don't understand this.

Anyway, I'd love to see the new Viper. Heck I never saw the last one.

Perhaps a friendly run?

thanks guys... hammrhead... just go no cats!

That's easy for you to say - Your exhaust exits out the rear of the car!

It's a different story when it's right behind the door!!

I'm looking at Roe's Stainless Substrate High-Flow cats w/ flex pipes. Just gotta get past the pricetag!

Will do. I don't have anything solid planned for the weekend, so that might work out.

Outside of the fuse for the exhaust butterflies pulled, it's completely stock. Down to the paper filter.

im just planning how hard you are going to pull me from a dig, lol

I think you'd be surprised. With the ambient temps we've got around here right now, I don't have crap for traction.

The Eagle Supercar tires are pretty sketchy when they're cold.

Next set, I'm going with the new Bridgestone's in the Z06 fitments. I'm hoping it'll be a better tire, and lost longer than the Goodyear's that GM supplies.

No doubt about it.

That's the biggest issue with C6 vettes in general. That damn 19" rear wheel. Very limited tire selection. The only sticky tire we have available is the Hoosier 19" R6, which is a full race slick.

Rumor has it Nitto is introducing the NT05 tire in C6 Z06 fitment towards summer. I'll believe that when I see it. I'll likely need tires prior to that though.
