I’m an original SVT aficionado from the good old days. Been having a blast with the 02' Lightning, 03' Cobra and 02' Focus. I'm preparing to change my hobbies and thought I'd post before I split the collection up. (expect separate For Sale posts in the market section in a week or so)

I bought the Lightning brand new. Watched it roll off the truck. Stopped the dealer before they applied their vinyl stickers to the tailgate. It sits with 38,000 miles. Deployments have left it sitting the garage most of its life. I always wanted a vette but when I read that Ford was making a supercharged truck that ran vette times back in 99-00 I was sold.

The Terminator was a Texas car that a school teacher traded in just after the warranty expired in the end of 2006. It was (and still is, mostly, bone stock) Really a blast to drive. The brute torque is amazing. However, I think that unless you are really good, I mean really good with the 6-speed, the Lightning might just be faster. (of course, mods change things quite a bit) Again with Deployments I found that I would lose the touch of shifting the 6-speed. It sits with 80,000 miles.

The 02 Focus is actually my favorite of the 3. Actually it feel gutless compared to the Cobra and L. But the way it handles and the way it loves to rev make it really fun in the twisties (completely boring on the interstate! It's not geared for interstate cruising, 3k rpms with the cruise control on 70mph. Still gets 30mpg though) The perfect Daily Driver for an SVT fan.

I've got piles of original Build Certificates, SVTOA and other magazines, Garage Banners, Promo materials, all the books, tons of memorabilia.

My hat is off to you Mr. Coletti, Here's to the "Good ole Days"

Nice cars!
Favorite years for ford are 01-04 for sure. I've got the cobra and lightning, used to own a 03 Marauder and recently picked up a Harley truck. I agree that the Lightning would hang with a stock cobra, but once the modding begins the cobra leaves the truck behind. I actually still prefer the Lightning, it's just been a damn good vehicle for me.
