Hey guys, I don't post here often although I frequent the forums almost daily. Was just wondering what everyone's opinion was of the SVE Rim on a 2010 GT500. I was planning on keeping the stock rims and just swapping out for a set of 19" SVE/RTR Rims in silver (not a fan of the black version). Below are a few pics of other stangs plus my Shelby. Thanks

I like the look and the price of the SVE wheels. Problem is these and most aftermarket wheels, including SVE come only in a 9.5 wide and a crappy 35mm offset. So you are stuck running a 275 maybe a 285 out back. I wouldn't buy different wheels unless I could run a wider tire out back.

They look fine. I like them better than the SVT PP mesh wheels.

But they're cast vs. your factory forgings (though both are made in China, lol).

Yeah, good point. Actually thought about having my current wheels widen to an 11" rear and throw on some 305's.

hmm, is there an advantage in having forged over cast?

China is making more and more american stuff these days.

Yeah...wth is that all about? Is it really that much cheaper to send a design to china and spend loads shipping it across the Pacific. I even heard the Alcoa's were produced there.

why spend the money for 11in when you can go as wide as 11.75 and put on a 325

nice but its taking a step back because of the size/os

The rims I posted are all 19X9.5 as are my stock rims. But I guess your're saying its pointless unless I go with a 10"+ wide rim and to some extent, I agree. Just digging the look of these at the moment.

yeah, that could be an option for sure

Exactly - These cars should have at least an 11 inch out back with 305's. My 315's were great before I put the 2.9 on.

Nice looking wheels but I'd stay with Forged for strength ;-)

On the stock rim you should be able to put a 305 or 315 with out any issues. Lightnings come with 9.5 from the factory and stock size is a 295, and the DR we use is a 305, no fitment issues.

I agree, my '07 Saleen had the Extreme Wheel option with came with 20x10 rears equipped with 305's. So maybe I will just upgrade to the SVTPP wheels and throw on some 305's. That is as wide as I'd want to go anyway.

So are factory rear SVTPP 20' rims are 20x10 or 20x9.5? I was considering getting some 305 nittos DRs, but was advised against it because it would not fit properly stock 20x9.5 rims and could be a liability.

^ They will fit just fine. There is a few members here with them on 9.5's and they are doing just fine and looking good at the same time. Try a Search for more info.

No way would I put RTR's on a GT500. Either leave them stock or save up for a set of proper wider forged rims

I probably will try out nittos 305 tires for the street next season. Why You don't like RTR wheels? I think would look really nice on a shelby, they look pretty close to stock svt pp wheels but with better offset for the rear

I have never thought they looked good on a GT500 (like a step backward) and I heard that the off set was such that you couldn't run wider tires when installed on a GT500.
