Im trying to help my brother figure out what to do with a newer supercharger hes got 99 and found an 03 with a 2.8 upper and plans on bringing it to a ford service department. He doesnt want to change the lower pulley which I figure would cause slipping if he doesnt so he plans on putting the stock one off his current on to the new one.

Also I know the bolt patterns are different is it somewhat simple to just drill the new ones in and im sure there is a few steps to take to make sure it seals back properly..............

^^^swapping pulleys is probably the easiest way to go, but that means you need the pulley puller. You can also drill the blower to fit, just use the newer gasket as a template. Good luck!

why is he willing to swap uppers, but not lowers? Instead of a 2.8 upper just get a 2lb lower and be done with it

+1, I would go with a lower pulley than a upper pulley. Using the upper will be the quickest way to belt slip. I have a 8lb lower and stock uppper.
