I currently own a 99 cobra w/ manga flow exhaust, custom CAI system and Jet Performance chip. I wanted to know what supercharger will give me the most bang for the buck. I want to spend under 4000 and it will be for street/race use. I heard the Paxton Novi 1000 gave 99Supercharged Cobra about 200 etra ponies. Thanks for any help. Also install will be done by my dad and i.<IMG SRC="http://www.svtperformance.com/ubb/smilies/cwm9.gif" border=0>

Probably the one that will give you the best results is the ATI Procharger. They come standard with an aftercooler and you don't have to tap the oil pan to install them which makes it a whole let easier!) They list for around $3200. But really all of the superchargers are decent now, with Vortech, Procharger, and Paxton being the better ones.

I went with Vortech>

I bought the Vortech E trim and installed it myself, it was complete and it wasnt hard to install. With the blower I dynoed to 452RWHP but currently bought the aftercooler and am making a custom fuel system hopefully to retune near 500RWHP. Many of my friends have Vortech and they havent had any problems, that is why I bought the kit.

I've been thinking about a supercharger and see them listed at 4999.00 what gives ? Also what about pistions ect? I hear they might not handle it in the 99?

Vortech or Paxton

From the test's I have seen Vortech and Paxton are the top choices with Paxton being slightly more efficent over the RPM range by 3 - 4 horses at the same PSI.

Just had the Vortech V2 SQ E put on my 99 Cobra along with many suspension mods. It's scary now revving up through the gears at WOT. Mine's still a conservative configuration......don't want to blow it up like some others have.

Going to try it out at VIR September 8,9, then again at Gingerman in late October.

Going to add the aftercooler in a week, should dyno in high 400's.

First: I don't think the Novi 1000 would add 200hp, sounds more like the Novi 2000. Personally, I'd love to have the 3000.
Second, the ProCharger has an INTERcooler, not aftercooler. And also, I hear that the ProCharger is the best bang for the buck for the '99 cobras.
